HEY HEY!!!
Today I went to the mall during my break and I misbehaved. I should be saving money but my addiction got the better of me. I ended up buying 4 ....yes 4 YSL lipsticks. I got three Rouge Volupte and one Rouge Pure Shine.I just couldn't resist! I was drawn to them like a moth to a flame.
The packaging is very chic. It's so pretty that I find my self going into a vegetative state and drooling while I stare at them. No joke...I think I just drooled on my keyboard. Anyways, I liked the consistency they have. The Rouge Voluptes are very opaque and extremely creamy. They go on very smoothly and you can work with them and decide how much you want to build up. The Rouge Pure Shine is not as creamy but it does have glitter particles and it has a nice watermelon like scent. I'm not sure if the scent is for everyone. Especially people who are very particular about smell. I didn't mind the smell as long as it's not that cheap waxy lipstick smell.
* ROUGE VOLUPTE *
The three colors in this type of lipstick are: # 8, #29 and # 30.
#8 : Is a light blue/cool tone pink. I liked this color because it kind of reminds me of Pink Nouveau by MAC but then again this is solely based on my jacked up memory and since I haven't swatched them together I may completely and utterly off. I recommend this color if you like light but bright creamy pinks.
# 29: This is a much brighter and warmer pink compared to #8. This is more along the lines of MAC cosmetics Lovelorn, Chatterbox and Speak Louder. Of course as I mentioned above I have not done a side by side comparison but this is just the first impression I get from the lipstick. This is a lovely color and it is much easier for me to wear than #8 seeing that it is warmer and is definitely something I would constantly reach for.
# 30: Probably my favorite color that I bought. This is a light peach color. The Rouge Volupte line has two peachy tones (#13 and # 30) when I compared the two at the counter and swatched on my hand I thought that #13 was too bright and too neon/orange. I went with #30 a lighter peach color that reminds me of MAC's Cut-a-Caper. YSL is definitely a lot more opaque. It is a shiny finish which is something I really enjoy.
* ROUGE PURE SHINE *
I bought one pure shine lipsticks in the shade #10. Compared to the Rouge Volupte this has a frostier finish. It has noticeable glitter and did not have as smooth of an application as the previously mentioned lipsticks. I really enjoyed the packaging because you had to press the top to be able to slide the lipstick out.
I highly recommend these lipsticks. Even though they are pricey they go a long way and they are better than MAC's creamsheen lipsticks. I would splurge on one and then see if you personally believe that it is worth it for future shopping trips. Some people have said it smells weird but I don't really smell anything unusual. Maybe my sense of smell isn't as highly developed...as long as my nose doesn't melt when I smell it, it gets a gold star!!!

Argentina = NEW SHOES!!!!
I recently went on a short trip to Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay. Granted I spent most of my time in Buenos Aires! I visited the the famous cemetery in Recoleta where Eva Peron is buried, the waterfalls on both the Brazilian and Argentine sides, Montevideo and many more places. The waterfalls were beautiful and it was an experience of a lifetime. I will post some pictures up at a later time because this post is dedicated to some things I bought on the trip!
* BOOTIES from PRUNE! *
These booties are clog-tastic-esk (bare with me) they have wooden platformed soles and are very comfy! I instantly fell in love with them and despite how high they look because of the platform the heels are not bad at all. The top is real leather and it is very soft but sturdy so you will get good wear out of them. They are just called ¨Booties¨on the Prune and are part of their Winter 11 collection. They retail for $172.50 and they do international shipping with a price range between $40 - $60 dollars depending on where you have them shipped.
I bought two other pairs of shoes from Prune. They are both boots with buckles on the side. I tried to look for pictures of them online but since I got both pairs on sale, since they were from previous collections, I was not able to find a picture online. Seeing that I am also being a lazy ass right now I have no energy charge my camera and attempt take and upload some pictures. Maybe on a later post. I can tell you though that one is black perforated leather and the other one is leopard printed leather.
* LEOPARD CLOGS FROM 47 STREET *
I don´t have more pictures because 1) I didn´t take the picture from above. 2) My camera is out of batteries and I am momentarily to lazy to upload some pictures. However, this picture is very true to what the shoe looks like. I must have to admit that these are very comfortable. These are my first clogs and I always thought that they would be uncomfortable and hard due to the wooden sole but I was very pleasantly surprised. I think these would look really cute with a skirt or some black skinny jeans. We shall see how I incorporate them into my wardrobe.
* LANVIN - JEANNE PERFUME *
I have been trying to find this perfume since my trip to China in the summer of 2010 and have never been able to; so when I saw this on a ¨ferry duty free¨ ( yes it was a duty free store on a ferry boat from Uruguay to Argentina) I had to have it. This has a very fruity floral scent and the bottle is just so cute and pretty. I´m not great at describing scents but this is sweet but not sickly sweet. I´m sure you can find reviews online regarding this scent which also has a rose version, I have the original version.
from the same duty free store I was able to pick up a few other items I had been wanting for a while now.
* SILK TIE DYE SCARVES *
Scarf # 1 : Light pink with teal stripes and some really cute pom pom on the ends. The pom poms are actually part of the silk scarf they have just been stretched and crumpled into those shapes.
Scarf # 2: Electric blue, teal and canary yellow silk and cotton pom poms on the ends. This is a super vibrant scarf that will be sure to catch some attention....hopefully some good attention....hehehe. Anyways, moving on. I loved this scarf because it was so out of the ordinary and I didn´t have anything like it in my collection.
Scarf # 3: Bright canary yellow silk with fuchsia, aqua, and emerald green tie die shapes running all along the scarf.This scarf is great to year when you need a pop of color. The picture just does not do this scarf justice. This is one of my all time favorite scarfs it is very versatile and easy to combine. All these scarves are from a store called Lanidor and they also have a website that I believe delivers to certain countries.
Well, that´s all folks! I didn´t realize how long a blog post would take. Hopefully I´m starting off good and I can gain some viewers and friends. If not it´s all good because I find it nice to put the things that make me happy out there. Maybe someone will see this post and get some ideas or be able to find items they have been looking for. If you are interested in seeing more things comment or follow or however this whole blogging thing works. I hope I´m doing okay, being a newbie at this, but the images and templates were not taken nor designed by me they are from shaggyblog and another really cool blog called freeprettythingsforyou and the pictures are from searches on the web.
Have a great day!!!!
